File Preparation

For best results, we recommend these export settings for your videos or slideshows:

Export as: .MP4
Resolution: 1920 x 1080 HD
Video Bitrate: 5 to 8 Mbps (5000-8000Kbps)

Important: Videos larger than 1080p (2.5K, 4K) may not play on the PlayBook Plus. If you have any trouble with these settings, feel free to contact us for assistance.

How to load videos and photos onto your PlayBook Plus

1. Plug in the PlayBook Plus: Connect the PlayBook Plus to your computer using the included USB cable. Your computer will recognize it as a removable drive, similar to a flash drive. This also charges the battery.
2. Locate the PlayBook Plus: Open the file explorer on your computer and look for the “PLAYBOOK” external drive (may be listed as “Untitled” or “USB Drive”).
3. Delete Demo Files: The PlayBook Plus comes with preloaded demo files. You can delete them by moving them to your computer’s trash and emptying it. DO NOT DELETE THE FOLDERS. These folders are important for the PlayBook Plus to function properly.
4. Load Your Files: Make sure the PlayBook Plus is plugged into your computer. Drag and drop your files into the appropriate folders:
   • VIDEO or SLIDESHOW FILES: These go into the “VIDEO” folder.
     • Tip: Rename your video files with a number prefix (e.g., 01_myvideo.mp4, 02_myvideo.mp4) to control the playback order.
   • PHOTOS: JPGs go into the “PHOTO” folder, just like you would load them onto a flash drive.
   • MUSIC FILES (Optional): If you want music playing during photos, add MP3 files to the “MUSIC” folder. Videos with built-in music don’t need additional music files.
5. Safely Eject: Once you’ve finished loading your files, remove the USB cable from the PlayBook Plus before turning it on. Leaving the cable plugged in might prevent the PlayBook Plus from starting up properly.

Important: DO NOT REFORMAT THE PLAYBOOK PLUS.

Reformatting will erase the software needed for video playback.
